Islamic Jihad and the Doctrine of Abrogation

Raymond Ibrahim documents the role of the Doctrine of Abrogation in resolving contradictions within Islam, specifically as it relates to Islamic Jihad:
Islamic Jihad and the Doctrine of Abrogation
As Ibrahim notes, "...mainstream Islamic jurisprudence holds that the Sword Verses (specifically 9:5 and 9:29) have “abrogated, canceled, and replaced 124 verses that called for tolerance, compassion, and peace.""
Ibrahim also provides perspective on the Quranic command that faithful Islamist should lie and deceive (taqiyya) until such time as they gain sufficient power that they can force non-Muslims to submit to the tenets of Islam.  That this incontrovertible Islamic doctrine is ignored by the apologist for the falsely-called "Religion of Peace" is a tragedy that has led and continues to lead to the deaths and persecution of countless non-Muslims, as well as non-Islamist Muslims (non-observant cultural Muslims).  The truth is that all "faithful Muslims" believe they must fight all non-Muslims till they either convert to Islam, submit to Islam in dhimmitude, or are killed.  Any truly "faithful Muslim" that maintains otherwise is engaging in taqiyya.
